La Colina Park, San Jose, California
Monday, July 11th 2011 - Wednesday, July 13th, 2011
Are you tired of football camps that...
• Just throw the footballs out there and tell the kids to play...
• Babysit and don't coach...
• Have a staff full of high school football players who have no experience coaching...
• Fail to emphasize the off-the-field approach of successful student athletes...

Dear Parent of Success-Minded Athlete,
Football is the greatest team sport known to humankind. On each and every play 11 athletes must do their job for the team to succeed. Because of this team concept, there are many life lessons to be taught using the game of football. Every athlete that ever touches the football field should leave with an understanding of these concepts. Of the millions of athletes who play football, few will play football at the collegiate or professional level, but the lessons of football stretch well beyond the playing field and this "football mentality" has opened up many opportunities for men like myself. Now it is our duty to teach the next generation these lessons. As they say, "everyone wants to reach the sky, but very few want to reach back and help those afraid to fly." It is our job as coaches to help each and every athlete fly to their potential.
There are hundreds of football camps out there, but very few understand the responsibility of coaching the lessons of the game of football. Most camps figure that they can throw some footballs out there and have the kids run around and they've done their job. They figure that they only see these kids for a week, so there's no way we can make a lasting impression on them.
WE ARE DIFFERENT. WE WILL DISRUPT THIS TREND.
Before you sign-up for a football camp, ask them what their goals are. If they can't answer cleanly and concisely, they probably just plan on throwing the footballs our there and letting the kids run around.
HERE ARE OUR GOALS AS A CAMP:
1. To teach the life lessons of football including teamwork, focus, effort, attention-to-detail, and accountability
2. To teach athletes to have fun while competing with 100% effort
3. To create muscle memory of the proper techniques to avoid injury
4. To teach athletes the football techniques and footwork taught at the division 1 and professional level

But don't believe me, read what other athletes, coaches, and parents have to say about our Youth Football Skills Camp...
- Keep going. You are going to be the standard setter.
- - Bill T., Palo Alto Coach and Parent
- I like PSTI Football Camps for several reasons, but the primary reason is the camp teaches safety on the football field. Injury prevention is a major priority as the parent of a young athlete. After speaking with the instructors and listening to my son about his day, I was pleased to hear that he was learning how to play an intelligent brand of football. They train the athletes to excel physically on the football field, but they also show them how to be smart out there. These guys are teaching the fundamentals that make it safe for my son to get on a football field at a young age. They helped my son become a more intelligent athlete.
- - Adam S., Palo Alto Parent
- My son was 7 years old when he attended Football summer camp. I didn't know what to expect from this camp since it was our first time. My first impression when we arrived was that the coaches were very friendly. You could tell that they all enjoy being with kids and teaching them about football. The camp was well organized. He learn so many different footballs in such a short amount of time. He enjoyed it so much that I am signing him up again this year. I'm so happy that I found out about this camp and we look forward to another great program this year.
- - Tanya H., Los Altos Parent
- Both of my sons really enjoyed the football camp and weekly workouts. They've learned to push themselves and the importance of form, setting goals and healthy eating. I wish I had learned what they know now back when I was a student!
- - Cathy A., Palo Alto Parent
- My son loved your camp and I must say that I was impressed by the overall professionalism of operations.
- - Monica E., Palo Alto Parent
- C.J. and his team run a very professional and dynamic camp. My son couldn't wait to get to camp each day. He had only played flag football one year in middle school and was getting ready to play for his high school as a freshman. I'm so glad he attended the PSTI Football Camp prior to playing in high school. He learned proper technique, plays, and healthy conditioning habits that helped him stay safe and be a dominant force on his school team. I highly recommend this camp!
- - Leslie B., Mountain View Parent
- I had a lot of fun at football summer camp. I met a lot of nice coaches who taught me a lot about football. I am a better player because of this camp. Thank you for teaching me how to be a good football player and helping me become the starting quarterback and linebacker for Pop Warner football.
- - Aaron, Youth Athlete
- It's fun and you learn skills. I feel mentally and physically stronger. Working out with PSTI helped me be a starter on both offense and defense this year.
- - Travis, Youth Athlete
- The PSTI Football Camp is great. The coaches are awesome and as former players, really know the game. The camp was fun and gave me the skills I needed to do well playing high school ball.
- - Daniel, High School Athlete
- PSTI has been one of the best training camps I have ever been to. PSTI helped me get faster and stronger really fast. The staff is great, they really know what they are doing and have lots of experience. Joining PSTI has made me a stronger and better person in life and on the field. If your looking to be a better athlete PSTI is the best fit for you!
- - Matt, High School Athlete
- PSTI definitely helped me. The counselors are great and I like how they take us through the day. We get a really nice uniform and I learned how to make plays on the field that I did not think to do before. We ran hard at times, but it was fun as I got into better shape. Also, I liked testing my skills with other kids from around the area.
- Ethan, Youth Athlete
- I think the camp was great. It was super fun. I especially liked scrimmaging. I want to do that camp again.
- - Yotam, Youth Athlete
So you probably have some questions...
Q: What is the age group for this camp?
This camp is designed for ages 5-15. Athletes will be divided by age, experience, and skill level.
Q: Is this camp a full-contact camp?
No, this camp is non-contact. We want to teach muscle memory proper footwork and body positions, so that when contact is involved outside our camp, the athlete naturally assumes a safe body position. Removing contact-anxiety allows all our athletes to focus on form versus the contact.
Q: What should my athlete bring?
An enthusiastic attitude, athletic wear, tennis shoes, cleats, a full healthy lunch, sunscreen
Q: What will be provided?
Camp T-Shirts, Water, Snacks, Goal Setting and Nutrition Materials
Q: Who will be coaching this program?
The PSTI staff of former collegiate football players will be coaching the program. Each of our head coaches have played division 1 football.
Q: What is a typical day like at the Youth Football Skills Camp?
We begin each day with a dynamic warm-up and speed development stations. The emphasis here will be proper body mechanics, functional flexibility, and joint stability. We then break off by age and position and go into our individual position and small group drills. After lunch, we apply the learning that we did in the morning and we compete! We finish off each day with a full body static stretch.
Q: My kid has never played football before. This camp sounds advanced. Is it right for my athlete?
Yes, our camp is a perfect opportunity to get introduced to the game of football. Your athlete will learn the proper habits and techniques from the start. It is also non-contact, so athletes can focus on fundamentals without contact-anxiety.
Q: My kid has played lineman last year. He wants to try another position this year. Can he do that at your camp?
Yes, we require all our athletes to do position drills at positions other than their primary position. This will allow them to develop into a complete football player and at this age, you never know who's going to grow or stop growing and become a completely different athlete in a year.
